What’s The Perfect Way To Spend Valentine’s Day?

January 17, 2020
Are you wondering how to make Valentine’s Day special this year? We have the perfect solution – skiing in the beautiful Aosta Valley.
It’s not only ideal for romantic couples but also for those cynics who are partnered to a romantic!
The romantics will picture snuggling on chairlifts, kissing outside whilst snow falls all around, sat by a blazing fire sipping warm hot chocolate or being laid in the snow together making snow angels. For the more cynical, although your partner will be thinking of these things, your mind will probably be more drawn to what you really want to do – skiing. Soluzione perfetta!
So why ski in Italy? Well, not only is St Valentine actually a patron saint of Italy (he was a bishop who lived in Terni – hence he is also known as Valentine of Terni) but, simply put, Italy is the land of love and no one does romance or passion better than the Italians.
Don’t just take our word for it however, The Telegraph in 2019 listed Courmayeur as number four on their list of ’10 of the most romantic ski resorts in the world’. Yes, in the whole world! Impressive stuff.
If you’re thinking about spending Valentine’s Day or, ‘La Festa Degli Innamorati’ as it is known in Italy, skiing in the Aosta Valley, then allow us to recommend some hotels we think will make for the most romantic of Valentine’s Day, guaranteed to live long in the memory…

Evenings meals in the restaurant are the perfect romantic end to the day. The restaurant sits just above the river and the gushing sound of the water provides a serene backdrop to enhance the experience.
